2019 food managers program


Two Day Program:

Wednesday, May 8th and Thursday, May 9th, 2019.

The program will be held at the Long Beach Township Multi-Purpose Room

Please note, at least one person in charge of a Risk 3 food establishment shall be a Certified Food Protection Manager.

Certification is valid for five (5) years, and is nationally recognized.

 

 

Mobile Mammography


The Dr.Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van will be at St. Francis Community Center

Most insurance plans accepted. Funds are available to provide mammograms to women without insurance coverage.

The American Cancer Society recommends that women age 45 to 54 should get mammograms every year.

The Drug Enforcement Administration – DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing prescription drugs and curbing the potential for abuse that could lead to addiction and overdose.

Residents may drop off used syringes or lancets at

the Long Beach Island Health Department office.

To ensure the health and safety of all, please observe the following:

*Place syringes in a small rigid container with well fitting lid,

preferably a 1 pound coffee can.

*Call for an appointment.

*Please DO NOT LEAVE any syringes outside

the health department office unattended.
